Hello, it is good to have you here.
First let me tell you a little about my philosophy, where I come from and why I am interested in life sustaining health foods.
I grew up on a New Zealand farm, enjoying good food, meats, eggs, milk, fruit and vegetables.
I was also fortunate enough to own a health shop, with many people visiting having serious health issues. Here I came to understand the limitations of our current health system, and the desperation of many people.
I believe our diet today, is out of tune with our bodies requirements, which are genetically almost identical to the bodies of our stone age ancestors. The dramatic shift away from the foods of our ancestors could well be responsible for the rise in diseases today, hence my interest in ancient food sources and marine phytoplankton.
The vast majority of our genes are ancient in origin and nearly all our biochemistry and physiology are fine-tuned to conditions of life that existed more than 10,000 years ago. The food we eat however has changed immensely in this time, before we started farming, we were all hunters and gatherers, hunting meat, gathering fruit, vegetables and nuts, this life style ensured plenty of exercise, and providing lots of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals daily. So with the food easy to obtain we began eating larger amounts of farmed meat, milk and grains, and did less exercise. Not happy with this food we started to refine it, removing many nutrients in our quest for “soft and sooth” food, we ate less fresh fruit and vegetables opting for the processed variety, removing the anti-aging antioxidants and vital enzymes Then came the fast food restaurants and microwaves.
Death of the Antioxidants
Antioxidants have certainly been the big causality of this shift away from our ancient diet. Antioxidants such as beta-carotene, lutein and zeaxanthin, along with vitamin E are all powerful protectors against free radicals. Free radical damage is associated with many modern diseases including heart disease, cancers and macular degeneration.
I have been trialing “Seatonic” for twelve months now, the pure green powder and I have also made a green paste.
For me – “SeaTonic” is proving to be a great energizer and a great a brain food, helping with my cravings and appetite, while gently cleansing my body of years of built up toxins.
On an interesting note – Bruce H. Lipton, Ph.D. in his research on how cells receive and process information, shows that genes and DNA do not control our biology, that instead DNA is controlled by signals from outside the cell, toxins can effect our cells responses, this then means our environment and our food, has everything to do with the health of our cells and our bodies. This is a whole new perspective and may prove to be the another reason human health is failing, our bodies need optimum nutrition to function – with little or better still – no interference from external pollutants.
We have little control over these pollutants that our bodies confront daily, but we can control the food we eat! “SeaTonic” marine phytoplankton is produced in totally enclosed Bio reactors, this product is much cleaner than any food from our polluted oceans and probably cleaner than most of our foods in the super market!
